What Mochibayo is

Mochibayo is a free guide to anime, in English and Bulgarian. It helps you find your next show and keep track of the ones you watch:

  • a page for every title, with its story, related titles, studio and where to watch it legally in Bulgaria;
  • filler guides that mark filler and recap episodes, and watch orders for long franchises;
  • the season's airing schedule, with countdowns in your time zone and a calendar you can subscribe to;
  • discovery by vibe and genre, a vibe quiz and a daily guessing game;
  • where to continue the story in the manga or light novel once the anime ends;
  • anime in Bulgaria, with events, clubs and legal streaming, and Japan in Sofia, with Japanese food, shops and culture in the city;
  • articles: season previews and guides.

There are no accounts. Your lists and settings stay in your browser.

Who runs it

Mochibayo is run by Nikola Doychev in Sofia, Bulgaria. It is an independent project, not affiliated with AniList, MyAnimeList, any studio or publisher, or any streaming service.

Where the data comes from

  • Titles, covers, airing schedules and how titles relate: AniList.
  • Episode lists, including which episodes are filler or recaps: MyAnimeList, through the Jikan API.
  • Where to watch in Bulgaria: the streaming links listed on AniList, limited to services that operate in Bulgaria. Catalogues differ by country, so a title can still be missing from the Bulgarian one.
  • Weather in Japan: the Japan Meteorological Agency.
  • The Japan in Sofia map: Google Maps, loaded only once you allow it.

The vibe and genre introductions, the reading guides, the places in Sofia and the articles are written for this site. Most data is refreshed every night.

How it is paid for

Mochibayo is free and shows no ads today; the person who runs it pays for it. It may add ads or affiliate links later to cover its costs. If it does, they will be clearly marked, and the privacy policy will say what they do before they appear.
